Brad Gobright – attuale detentore del record di velocità per la salita al Nose (El Capitan, Yosemite Valley, California, in 2h 19 min44 sec, il 21 ottobre 2017) – è un climber di molto coraggio e limitata fama. Dalle sue arrampicate trad molto poco protette alle incredibili salite in free solo, il film mostra il recupero di questo incredibile atleta dopo un incidente alla schiena, compiendo alcune delle più difficili ascensioni della sua carriera. Dice di lui Alex Honnold: “Mi sudano le mani a guardarlo fare free solo!”
